For every child, the right to a FutureThis is a NYHQ position in the Treasury and Structured Finance Section under the Division of Finance and Administrative Management (DFAM) reporting to the Deputy Director D1 level. The incumbent will lead the Liquidity Management Unit which provides timely and efficient execution of all treasury payments as well as treasury accounting matters to ensure data integrity is reflected in the financial statements.

The incumbent provides guidance and technical advice to country offices and other UNICEF divisions on financial risk management, foreign exchange matters and liquidity management while supporting the Investment Management Unit in risk, liquidity and investment management. The incumbent also supports providing technical advice on innovative finance initiatives and pre-financing arrangements.
Summary of key functions and accountabilities:- Technical expertise and support to Country Offices (CO) and other divisions in the area of liquidity and foreign exchange management
- Payment function and related activities
- Relationship management with Treasury house banks and other financial service providers
- Risk, Liquidity and investment management
- Executive reporting and policy development

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…Minimum requirements:
- Education: Advanced University Degree in Finance, Business or Economics and any other related fields. Professional credentials are highly desirable. e.g. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), CFA, ACT.
- A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. This is applicable to internal (FT, Continuing and Permanent) staff only.
- Work Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in an international bank or corporation covering treasury management and international finance.
- Professional work experience in risk management, liquidity management and investment management, ideally within multicultural international environments is required.
- Demonstrate substantive experience in policy development, audit reviews and interaction with auditors, treasury accounting and treasury operations oversight is required.
- Foreign exchange and investment dealing experience using treasury management systems and related trading platforms such as Bloomberg or 360t is required.
- Experience with digital payments and new finance technologies is required.
- Good knowledge of information management and data analysis, including leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools is required.
- Proven expertise interacting with senior management across different divisions is required.
- Required ability to work independently and respond to feedback promptly and professionally.

- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
- Language:
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset. - UN experience is an asset.
