About the OpportunityA well-established and growing luxury residential construction company in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple active projects from planning through completion.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys managing project timelines, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with company leadership, project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to keep operations running efficiently while delivering exceptional results for discerning homeowners.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple residential construction projects simultaneously from pre-construction through project completion.
- Coordinate daily with field project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate material procurement and monitor deliveries to prevent project delays.
- Track project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling or operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and project records.
- Facilitate communication between office staff and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are completed according to company quality standards and client expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years of construction project management experience (residential construction preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project coordination, and material procurement.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with construction management software (such as Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar) is a plus.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
