Role DescriptionThe Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Essex County, NJ, responsible for overseeing remodeling projects from initial planning through final completion. This role includes coordinating subcontractors and internal crews, managing daily site activities, creating schedules, liasing with customers, managing invoicing, budget management and ensuring work is completed according to scope and quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will track project costs, review change orders, monitor materials and equipment, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
They will communicate regularly with clients, address questions or issues as they arise, and ensure that all safety and building code requirements are consistently followed on the job site. The role also involves collaborating with estimators and leadership to improve processes and support the overall success of the company’s projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction project manager
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Project Management skills, with experience overseeing multiple remodeling or construction projects.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Coordination skills to organize schedules, resources, and communication among stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Construction Management and Budgeting skills to control costs, manage contracts, and ensure financial and operational efficiency. Including experience in using CRM software, microsoft excel, and Quickbooks Online.
- Relevant skills such as knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, blueprint analysis and construction best practices are beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and lead diverse teams.
- Proficiency with project management software, construction scheduling tools, and basic office applications is preferred.
- Prior experience in high-end residential remodeling and a valid driver’s license for local site travel are necessary.
