Registered Dental Hygienist

A well-established private dental practice in West Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced and personable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team.

We are looking for a hygienist who takes pride in providing excellent clinical care while also building genuine, long-term relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience
, a positive personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to make patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

• Provide comprehensive preventive hygiene care, including routine cleanings and periodontal maintenance
• Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and screenings
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and recommended treatment
• Build strong relationships with patients and encourage long-term preventive care
• Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively with patients and doctors
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Follow established clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and OSHA/HIPAA requirements
• Work collaboratively with the doctors and dental team to provide an exceptional patient experience
• Manage a productive schedule while maintaining a high standard of patient care

• NJ Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Ideally 2+ years of clinical hygiene experience
• Strong clinical and periodontal assessment skills
• Warm, friendly, and professional personality
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Someone who enjoys getting to know patients and building a loyal patient following
• Coachability and willingness to take direction and feedback
• Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to balance efficiency with high-quality, patient-centered care
• Experience with dental practice management/charting software is a plus
