BGOFF LEBOVITZ DENTAL ARTS is looking for a skilled and passionate Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join their team in West Orange, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a patient-focused dental practice where your expertise and care make a real difference in people's smiles every day.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine dental cleanings and oral prophylaxis treatments for patients
- Conduct thorough periodontal assessments and document findings in patient charts
- Take and review dental X-rays and radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Screen patients for oral health conditions including gum disease and oral cancer
- Collaborate with the dentist to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, sterilized, and OSHA-compliant treatment environment with Dental Assistant help
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of New Jersey
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with dental practice management software is a plus (Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care
- Excellent chairside manner with the ability to put patients at ease
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
