Paratransit Bus Driver

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in West Orange, NJ. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

• $18.81 starting pay for CDL Holders with Passenger Endorsement
• $16.76 starting pay for Non‑CDL Holders

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly for full‑time employees / 4 hrs monthly for part‑time employees

• Safety‑Focused Operations:
  Follow designated routes and schedules, adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Passenger Care:
  Provide exceptional assistance, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle Vigilance:
  Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Adherence to Protocols:
  Enforce seat‑belt laws, maintain emergency preparedness, and comply with regulatory mandates.
• Other duties as required.

• 21 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s License held for at least 3 years.
• Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical examination if applicable.

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, often alone in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and navigate uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Push, pull, lift or move objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment at ground level.
• Operate in heavy‑traffic areas and tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
