We specialize in environmental remediation, geotechnical construction, levee and dam rehabilitation, emergency and disaster response, habitat and wetland construction and mechanical dredging! Our clients include Army Corps of Engineers, State of California, Department of Water Resources, Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency and Private clients. Odin Construction is growing rapidly with several projects already on the books for the coming years!

The Cost Accountant will perform advanced cost accounting analyses to compare estimated costs to actual costs and prepare a variety of related budget reports, while reporting accurate revenue recognition.

• Gathers and compiles all related cost information.
• Generates monthly invoices and track cash receipts.
• Generates and tracks the production on project activities.
• Predicts, plans, and records accurate revenue recognition.
• Maintains and generates project related purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Predicts, plans, and records variable costs.
• Reviews daily timecards for coding inaccuracies.
• Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
• Performs project close out of documentation and lien releases.
• Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent numeracy skills along with a logical and analytical mind
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, HCSS products, and accounting software (Vista or Spectrum).
• Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business Administration required.
• At least two years of experience in cost accounting preferred.
