Client Overview:
Our client, a well-established, full-service commercial real estate brokerage company based in West Palm Beach, Florida, is currently seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the organization.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr - $34/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the accounting and financial operations of a busy property management company. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and ensuring smooth financial processes across a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with property management accounting practices such as rent tracking, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities of the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
* Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Track tenant rent payments, late fees, and security deposits.
* Process invoices, vendor payments, and expense reporting.
* Reconcile bank accounts and property operating accounts.
* Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial documentation.
* Assist with the month-end close and preparation of financial reports.
* Support budgeting and property-level expense tracking.
* Collaborate with property managers and leadership on financial needs.
Required Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
* Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
* Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience within a property management environment.
* Strong understanding of property management accounting practices, including rent collections, tenant ledgers, security deposits, and vendor management.
* Hands-on experience using Yardi software (highly preferred).
* Familiarity with other property management or accounting platforms.
* Experience supporting month-end close, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting for multiple properties.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with detailed financial data.
Education Requirements:
* High school diploma is required.
