Construction Accountant Job Description
Pride Staff financial is looking for a Construction Accountant to join a local builder. The Construction Accountant will work closely with project managers and subcontractors to complete projects according to financial business goals and objectives. The ideal Construction Accountant has multiple years in a similar role, has a CPA or CMA certification, and understands AIA billing and Quickbooks. The Construction Accountant is a full time, Direct hire position in West Palm Beach, FL.
- Oversee The Accounting For Multiple Construction Projects
- Financial Planning & Analysis Support For Project Managers
- Forecast Monthly Billing & Expense Projections For Projects
- Maintain Accurate Job Costing Reports & Reconcile Budgets
- Process Vendor Invoices & Subcontractor payments, Ensuring Compliance With Contract Terms
- Manage AP & AR, Including Progress Billing, & Collections of Payments From Clients
- Reconcile Project-Related Accounts & Monitor Cash Flow Related to Ongoing Construction Work
- Ensure Compliance With Federal, State, & Local Regulations, Including Labor Laws & Tax Requirements
- Assist With Internal & External Audits, Providing Necessary Documentation
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Financial Reports
- Identify Areas For Improvement & Implement Best Practices, Accounting Software & Systems to Improve Efficiency & Accuracy
- Work Closely With All Departments to Ensure Projects Are in Good Financial Standing & Managed Well Meeting All Goals
- Assist With Additional Accounting & Office Duties as Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Related Field
- 10+ Years of Accounting Experience & at Least 5 Years in Construction Accounting
- Proficient With Quickbooks Enterprise, AIA Draw Format, MS Office, & Excel
- Experience With Sage Intacct, Yardi, & Builder
TREND Preferred - Knowledge of G702 & G703 Draw Format
- CPA or CMA Certification Preferred
- Outstanding Financial & Analytical Skills
- Excellent Organizational & Attention to Detail Skills Required
- Must be 18+ Years Old
- Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check
- Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen
- Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S.
