Job SummaryPerforms professional work assisting with performance and operational audits of Palm Beach County governmental activities. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing information, documenting audit work, evaluating evidence, and assisting in the preparation of audit reports. Work is performed under general supervision with guidance from senior audit staff.
Qualifications- One of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Journalism, Management, or related field and minimum of 2 years experience in audits, administrative/fiscal duties, program evaluation, contract compliance, grant evaluation, procurement or purchasing. - Independent Bachelor’s Degree or related Associate’s Degree with minimum of 4 years experience in audits, administrative/fiscal duties, program evaluation, contract compliance, grant evaluation, procurement or purchasing.
- Graduation from high school/equivalent with recognized certification and minimum of 6 years experience in audits, administrative/fiscal duties, program evaluation, contract compliance, grant evaluation, procurement or purchasing.
- Related Master’s Degree.
- Experience working in an audit environment following Government Auditing Standards.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA).
- Certified Risk Management Assurances (CRMA).
- Certified Control Self-Assessment (CCSA).
