Construction Project Accountant
Pride Staff Financial has partnered with a premier construction company seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant. In this role, you will manage project-specific financial operations, ensure accurate job costing, and maintain strict compliance with budgeting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle project AP, AR, expense recording, and job cost tracking.
- Review subcontractor/vendor billings and manage compliance documents (lien waivers, COIs).
- Coordinate with Project Managers to update weekly project forecasts.
- Prepare monthly draft pay applications and lead the collection of vendor invoices.
- Oversee project-specific financial record-keeping per company SOPs.
- Maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Experience:
3+ years of Project Accountant experience in commercial/residential construction or for a General Contractor.AIA Expertise:
Strong knowledge of AIA G702/G703 Application for Payment billing and the ability to set up AIA-formatted pay applications.Technical
Skills:
Familiarity with Industry Standard Cost Codes/Job Coding.Software:
Proficiency in Sage (300/Timberline), Procore, and Timber Scan.Traits:
Sharp attention to detail, strong time-management, and excellent communication skills.
