Senior Fund Accountant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team at a private credit fund. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of fund accounting and a strong background in private credit investments. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations and reporting.

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for the private credit fund, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other financial documents.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all fund transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations.
• Collaborate with the investment team to support portfolio management activities and provide financial analysis.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting private credit funds.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on private credit or alternative investments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
