Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Fund Accountant to join a growing investment management team supporting private investment funds. This role offers broad exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor operations while working closely with investment professionals and external service providers.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor account activity across multiple fund entities.
• Reconcile investment holdings and valuation data on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Review quarterly financial statements, capital account reports, and investor reporting packages for accuracy.
• Coordinate audit requests, prepare supporting documentation, and assist with year-end audit processes.
• Calculate and record management fees, fund expenses, and other recurring allocations.
• Analyze accruals, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and investigate reporting variances.
• Partner with third-party fund administrators to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
• Perform analytical reviews of financial results and identify trends or unusual activity.
• Support regulatory and compliance-related initiatives as needed.
• Participate in process improvements, issue resolution, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 2-5 years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial reporting.
• Experience supporting private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or other alternative investment vehicles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and investment accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with accounting or fund administration software is a plus.
• Knowledge of securities valuation concepts is beneficial.
• Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus, but not required.
