Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

We’re seeking a Controller to take full ownership of our financial systems across several growing business divisions—including luxury residential services, commercial painting, and home management. This role is responsible for the accuracy of financial records, compliance, and the development of scalable accounting processes that can support continued growth.

You’ll be both strategic and hands‑on: digging into numbers, managing the books, and guiding executive leadership with real-time financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full general ledger and ensure clean, GAAP-compliant financials
• Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close process and financial statement preparation
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
• Develop a team of two initially, with further group growth likely
• Provide budget vs. actual analysis and reporting by business unit
• Maintain the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Support M&A, new ventures, and expansion initiatives
• Continuously work to improve process and output through the lens of technology
• Partner with both executive leadership as well as the Operations team to provide financial insight and guidance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including prior controller-level responsibility
• Strong experience with Excel and financial reporting systems, with either Net Suite or Service Titan a strong preference
• Detail-oriented, self-directed and capable of building processes from the ground up
• Experience in multi‑entity or service‑based business structures highly preferred
