Staff Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.

+ Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial data.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

+ Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.

+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

+ Analyze financial information and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

+ Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and other financial projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

+ 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
