Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join an aircraft management company in West Palm Beach, Florida. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the monthly accounting cycle, supporting high-touch client billing, and working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The role is fully onsite Monday through Friday during the initial training period, with potential hybrid flexibility afterward.

Success in this position requires strong financial accuracy, sound communication skills, and the ability to support both routine accounting work and budget planning activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable activity by reviewing invoices, coordinating timely payments, and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of service providers.
• Prepare monthly client invoices by compiling management fees and validating charges related to aircraft operations, including services, staffing, fuel, insurance, hangar usage, connectivity, catering, and parking.
• Examine account activity each month to confirm all applicable expenses have been captured, and record accruals for costs that have not yet been posted.
• Create and post journal entries to support account adjustments, period-end accuracy, and complete general ledger reporting.
• Review payroll-related expenses to ensure labor costs are properly reflected in monthly financial results and client billing.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a recurring basis, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Support annual and quarterly budgeting efforts by analyzing historical spending patterns and helping develop projections for upcoming periods.
• Communicate professionally with corporate and high-net-worth clients to address billing questions and provide clear financial information as needed.
