Body Shop Painter

Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Body Shop Painter to refinish and restore vehicles to high cosmetic and OEM standards in our fast-paced automotive environment. In this hands-on Skilled Labor role, you will perform surface prep, color matching, paint mixing, and spray application using modern equipment and materials. You'll collaborate closely with body technicians and estimators to meet quality, safety, and cycle-time targets while following strict environmental and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming according to repair orders
• Mix, match, and apply automotive paints to OEM and Cox Automotive quality standards
• Operate spray equipment and maintain paint booths, tools, and materials
• Inspect finished work for color accuracy, finish quality, and defect-free results
• Collaborate with body technicians, estimators, and service teams to meet turnaround times
• Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA guidelines for handling paints and materials
• Document work performed and ensure jobs meet Cox Automotive process standards
• Support continuous improvement, training, and 5
