Procurement Specialist

Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 100% Onsite

Client is seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst to join its Procurement team. This role works closely with Procurement, Legal, and Budget departments to support agency-wide purchasing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical expertise, knowledge of government purchasing regulations, and experience managing competitive sourcing processes.

• Analyze procurement activities to identify strategic sourcing opportunities that reduce cost and strengthen the agency’s buying position
• Procure materials and services in support of agency operations
• Develop and manage RFIs and RFPs, evaluate proposals, negotiate agreements, and award contracts
• Collaborate with Legal, Contracts Management, and Sourcing teams to minimize agency risk and liability
• Administer new and existing contracts and manage supplier relationships
• Assist end-users in developing specifications, scopes of work, and supplier performance metrics
• Develop procurement strategies for complex projects and material/service requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Materials Management, or related field
• Minimum five (5) years of procurement experience (public or private sector)
• Strong knowledge of government purchasing laws, policies, sourcing methods, and market analysis
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Procurement certification upon employment

• CPPO (Certified Public Procurement Officer)
• CPPB (Certified Professional Public Buyer)
• CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)
• Other nationally recognized procurement certifications
