We are seeking a Construction Specialist II to support wireline fiber construction initiatives based in West Palm Beach, Florida
. This is a full‑time position supporting OSP fiber build projects across the territory from Boca Raton to Sebastian, FL
. The role supports construction, planning, and design teams in driving fiber projects to completion while maintaining data integrity, reporting accuracy, and milestone tracking.
This position is 70% in‑office (Monday–Thursday), work‑from‑home Fridays, and 30% in the field conducting site walkouts and meeting with business partners and municipalities.
This is a high‑visibility opportunity working directly with leadership, supporting large‑scale fiber builds within West Palm Beach market. The #1 feature of this role is ownership — you will lead assigned projects to completion, manage cross‑functional coordination, and play a key role in keeping construction, design, and activation timelines aligned. This position is ideal for someone with strong telecom/fiber construction experience who thrives in a structured yet fast‑paced environment and wants exposure to both office‑based project coordination and field operations.
RequiredSkills & Experience
- Strong telecom/fiber construction experience (fiber and/or coax)
- Ability to track, report, and manage project milestones
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented
- Experience with Sphere and/or P2
- Familiarity with municipal coordination and site walkouts
- Assist OSP Design Engineers with tracking production and milestone status
- Lead assigned projects to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget alignment
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and milestone timelines
- Host cross‑functional meetings to track weekly fiber build updates and final activations
- Coordinate with vendors and business partners to ensure project alignment
Maintain data integrity across systems using tools such as V‑lookup and other comparison functions - Perform data mining and generate visual reports for stakeholders
- Conduct site walkouts and meet with municipalities and business partners
- Work closely with construction, planning, and design teams
- Fiber and/or coax construction
- Project tracking and reporting tools
- Microsoft Excel (including V‑lookup and data comparison tools)
- Reporting, capacity, and ticketing systems
- Sphere and P2 (nice to have)
- Track project milestones and production metrics
- Maintain accurate reporting across multiple databases
- Coordinate cross‑functional meetings
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams
- Conduct field visits and walkouts as required
- Drive projects forward independently using sound judgment
