Job Description We are seeking a permanent Senior Estimator who will lead the estimating process, ensure cost‑effective project planning, and play a vital role in procurement. The role requires collaboration with project managers and stakeholders to develop realistic, achievable plans.
Responsibilities
Lead the cost estimation process for construction projects, ensuring all cost considerations are accurately and comprehensively accounted for.Participate in project bidding, developing competitive and accurate bids that align with the company's strategic objectives.Manage cost throughout the project lifecycle, identifying opportunities for cost savings and ensuring projects stay within budget.Oversee procurement processes, ensuring materials and services are acquired in a timely and cost‑effective manner.Develop detailed project estimates using deep knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market trends.Assist with project planning by working closely with project managers and stakeholders.Apply value engineering principles to optimize project cost, quality, and scheduling.Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring all project estimates reflect the project's design and scope.Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry with a proven track record of accurate, competitive estimating.Extensive knowledge of cost estimation processes and tools, capable of leading estimation for large, complex projects.Experience with project bidding and a history of developing winning bids.Strong cost management skills to keep projects within budget while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.Experience with procurement in the construction industry, including negotiating favorable terms and managing suppliers.Proficiency in project estimation and planning with detailed, realistic project plans.Knowledge of value engineering principles and their application in construction.Ability to read and interpret blueprints with a deep understanding of construction processes and materials.Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with diverse professionals.A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
