Estimator, Construction, Civil Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator with a strong background in underground utilities and mass excavation projects. This individual will play a key role in preparing competitive bids, analyzing project costs, and supporting preconstruction efforts across a variety of heavy civil infrastructure projects.

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for civil construction projects
• Analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation
• Estimate projects involving underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm drainage
• Develop quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, and site development
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Collaborate with operations and project management teams during bid preparation
• Assist with value engineering and project budgeting
• Maintain organized bid documentation and historical cost data

• 3+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil construction
• Strong experience pricing utility infrastructure and mass excavation projects
• Knowledge of underground utility installation methods and civil construction practices
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines

• HCSS (preferred)
• Experience with similar estimating software will also be considered
