Construction Intern, Operations Manager

We are excited to continue our internship program for another year. Our internship program offers the opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our construction management team in a 12-week program where you will be exposed to estimating, project management, and field operations. During your rotation you will spend 4 weeks in estimating and then the remaining time of your internship split between project management and field operations giving you a well-rounded learning experience.

Gain an understanding of both the day-to-day business and financial management of our projects. Explore the critical role of a Project Manager onsite and support the team with coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.

• Interns in a field role help lay the foundation of the project and coordinate the details on site.
• Work with field supervision to assist with safety procedures, project, and trade partner coordination, verification of field conditions and quality control.
• Participate in the Summer Speaker series, internship events, jobsite tours, and networking opportunities.

Gain an understanding of the estimating process through daily support of the estimating team during your rotation.

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, etc.).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must demonstrate genuine interest in the construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as a collaborative partner on a team.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; able to prioritize and multi-task.

• Hands-on experience in the dynamic field of construction management.
• Exposure to a variety of projects, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
• Mentorship from experienced professionals in the construction industry.
