Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of interior construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Review work progress daily, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, fostering a cooperative environment.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local construction regulations are met.
  • Resolve any problems that may arise, providing solutions that promote project continuity and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial interiors and remodels.
  • Experience in healthcare construction is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing and delivering interior projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Proficient in using construction management software.
  • A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is a plus.
