Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart", and we are hiring private music instructors who share this philosophy. We strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable to as many people as possible because we believe that music education is essential to improving the world.
Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Brass. While we do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the West Palm Beach area, we have students needing teachers ASAP.
Lessons can take place in the student’s home, in your own home or studio, or via webcam. Though in‑person lessons are the majority, we do accept a small number of webcam lessons. We need local instructors who can host students or are willing to travel within the West Palm Beach area.
Your compensation is $20‑$30 per hour on an independent contractor basis, depending on travel time, your experience/education, and student retention rate. You set your own schedule and lesson plans. We handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing so you can focus on teaching.
Requirements include strong communication, punctuality, and organizational skills. Formal music training is not mandatory, but a music degree, enrollment in a music program, professional performance experience, or previous teaching experience is required.
Responsibilities- Conduct private music lessons in person or via video call.
- Design and adapt lesson plans to suit individual student needs.
- Maintain regular communication with students and the Taylor Robinson Music office.
- Arrive on time and remain organized for all scheduled lessons.
- Travel to students' homes or other agreed locations within the West Palm Beach area as needed.
- Ensure compliance with COVID‑19 precautions: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
- Degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
- Experience or proven competence in teaching Brass instruments.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to manage independent scheduling and lesson planning.
Opportunities to work independently with flexible hours, a supportive marketing and billing support system, and a community dedicated to music education.
