The School of Liberal Arts & Science invites applications for the position Visiting Lecturer of English. The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate courses in English Composition and the interdisciplinary Humanities program, and will be willing to meet periodically with department faculty and administration as needed. The position requires a strong commitment to the Christian faith, as well as excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in English Composition and the interdisciplinary Humanities program.
- Meet periodically with department faculty and administration as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian faith and integrate faith into coursework.
- Maintain excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service to the university community.
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in the discipline.
- Prior collegiate‑level teaching experience (preferred).
- Commitment to teaching excellence and service to the college, university, and community.
- Demonstrated Christian commitment and ability to integrate faith into coursework.
- Ph.D., or Juris Doctorate preferred.
The position is a full‑time position with a teaching load of 5 courses per semester and a starting date of August
2026.
