The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of indifference—but because you know they're capable of reaching full mastery, and accepting less would be the true disservice. If that principle resonates, continue reading. If it feels too demanding, this position will likely prove difficult. Students at Alpha don't attend passive lectures.
They advance through adaptive learning applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while developing practical life skills simultaneously.
Alpha School is a learning model that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's established framework.
- Conducting daily engagement sessions that motivate 100% of students toward their weekly application-based objectives through age-appropriate mechanisms including school currency and performance rankings.
- Developing Guides via direct observation, specific feedback, and practical training so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy.
- Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint those requiring support, then providing direct intervention.
- Personally mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and engagement techniques you require from all Guides.
- Creating lesson plans or developing instructional content. Students engage with adaptive applications; your focus is elevating the people who support them.
- Delivering traditional classroom lectures. Your role is 80% performance and engagement, 20% content expertise; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this position won't suit you.
- Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student reaches 99%, the response is not yet - and you'll receive institutional support to maintain that boundary.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your time involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
- Delaying performance conversations for scheduled reviews. Outcomes are visible in real-time through Coachbot, and adjustments occur immediately.
