Summary: Teaches assigned science related class or outreach programs in classroom setting, following curriculum as established by Director of Education.

• Instructs students to advance an understanding of the sciences in a hand-on setting.
• Adapts curriculum and lesson plans to meet and/or improve program objectives.
• Monitor all students and activities, keeping an eye to safety.
• Report any incidents to Director of Education or Camp Director.
• Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Center.
• Other duties as required to fulfill the duties of the position.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and minimum two years teaching experience.
• An interest in public education relating to South Florida ecosystems and environment.
• Must be energetic, creative and engaging with a sense of humor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public and co-workers.
• Excellent organizational, time management and supervisory skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
