The Lead Teacher serves as an instructional leader and member of the school leadership team, supporting teachers, administrators, and school-wide initiatives to improve student achievement and instructional effectiveness. The Lead Teacher provides coaching, professional development, curriculum support, and data-driven leadership while helping implement the school's vision and strategic goals.
Job Requirements- Instructional Leadership
- Support the implementation of curriculum, instructional frameworks, and district initiatives.
- Model research-based instructional practices and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Observe classrooms and provide feedback, coaching, and support to teachers.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of school improvement goals.
- Promote effective use of instructional technology and innovative teaching strategies.
- Teacher Development
- Mentor and support new and veteran teachers.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs).
- Plan and deliver professional development sessions.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, differentiation, assessment design, and intervention strategies.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on professional growth and student success.
- Data Analysis and Student Achievement
- Lead data discussions and support teachers in analyzing student performance data.
- Identify instructional trends, achievement gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of intervention and enrichment programs.
- Monitor progress toward school and district achievement goals.
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team.
- Collaborate with administrators on school-wide planning and decision-making.
- Assist with accreditation, compliance, and school improvement processes.
- Support implementation of school policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate special projects and committees as assigned.
- Family and Community Engagement
- Support communication between school staff, families, and community partners.
- Assist with parent workshops, school events, and outreach activities.
