Youth Development
FLIPANY is disrupting the way health and wellness support is offered to communities that have been historically ignored. We serve nutritious food, encourage healthy eating and get people to move. Whether we are working with partners to connect families to food, teaching kids to dice veggies or kick a ball, or designing customized health and wellness programs, FLIPANY takes an active, "hands-on" approach.
We incorporate life skills into all of our programs to increase the emotional wellbeing and resilience of the kids and families we serve. We push beyond boundaries and explore every opportunity to offer creative health and wellness initiatives that will inspire people to transform their lives forever.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of making their community healthier, connected and genuinely invested in the lives of the youth they serve.
FLIPANY serves youth, adults, and seniors across South Florida through four core areas of work: out-of-school meal programs (After school Meal Program and Summer Break Spot), senior meal programs, food pantries, and hands-on wellness and nutrition education delivered directly in the community. These include nutrition education and interactive, hands-on food and wellness activities. This position works directly with our community partners throughout Palm Beach County, including schools, after-school centers, community centers, and city-run sites.
This role begins in the classroom with youth. This role is ideal for a passionate individual prepared to mentor and guide youth through social-emotional learning activities and wellness experiences that promote healthy lifestyle habits. This is a part-time role at 16 hours per week. Instructors must be available Monday through Friday between 1:30 and 6:00 p.m. Shifts are assigned on a biweekly basis as classes are scheduled.
For those who thrive in this role, FLIPANY offers opportunities to deepen their work in the community through expanded responsibilities across our programs, including our Healthy Meals Out of School department.
