What You’ll DoFollow all required standards in the performance of assigned work, displaying appropriate competencies in accordance with FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and related materials. Incumbent is required to meet all training requirements set out in a specific Training Matrices chart. Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct necessary troubleshooting and/or repair on turbine engines, on or off wing.
- Disassemble and assemble various models of turbine engines according to sequence, utilizing aircraft tools, balance machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and other equipment.
- Receive engine parts and conduct inspections using precision measuring tools to detect physical defects such as cracks, burns, foreign object damage, and structural deviations.
- Evaluate engine parts to determine repairability, using micrometers and other precision‑measurement tests to route parts for further repair or scrap.
- Inspect aircraft engine parts to determine and/or perform NDT requirements.
- Use the applicable database system to retrieve information on parts inventory, manufacturing models, serial numbers, and other pertinent data for proper documentation.
- Refer to technical publications, specification sheets, and other regulatory requirements to ensure tasks are completed in proper sequence and signed‑off.
- Make customer contact and travel up to 50% of the time if required.
- Perform general facility cleaning and maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an aircraft overhaul/MRO environment, including troubleshooting, inspections, maintenance, and repair of corporate aircraft airframes and turbofan engines.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft and engine maintenance manuals, IPCs, SRMs, and engineering drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional and customer‑focused demeanor; extensive interaction with customers, frequently at customer locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, plus ability to learn company‑specific and industry‑related software applications.
- Must provide and maintain the hand tools required to perform assigned duties.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Level II NDT Certification (preferred).
