OverviewInsight Global is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our client’s solar power generation team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA systems to support solar energy operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with HMI development, communication protocols, and PLC programming.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems for solar power generation projects.
- Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, ASCII, ICCP, and Ethernet/IP.
- Build and configure HMIs using Ignition HMI by Inductive Automation.
- Program PLCs using function blocks, PID, ladder logic, structured text, and VFDs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems.
- Perform system testing, validation, and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- 1+ year of experience creating HMIs in any industry.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, ASCII, ICCP, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience building HMIs, preferably using Ignition HMI by Inductive Automation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (function blocks, PID, ladder logic, structured text, VFDs).
- Can also be a recent graduate with an Engineering or Computer Science degree and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating HMIs and writing code for Power Generation companies.
