Location: West Palm Beach/South Florida (local candidates only; relo possible for candidates w/FDOT Exp.)
Our client is a land development firm with deep FDOT expertise across South Florida. They have a strong pipeline of grading, base, paving, drainage, and MOT work. The company is profitable, stable, and expanding— with estimators playing a key role in shaping which projects get pursued.
They need a Senior FDOT Estimator who knows transportation work inside and out and will FOCUS EXCLUSIVELY ON FDOT PROJECTS
: public roadways, bid packages, takeoffs, and specs. Join a team that respects your expertise—no micromanaging.
- Lead FDOT heavy civil bids from pursuit through bid day
- Build detailed estimates for roadway, drainage, utilities, earthwork, and MOT
- Review plans and specs to identify risk and constructability issues
- Collaborate with PMs and field leadership on means and methods
- Participate in go/no-go decisions and pricing strategy
- Mentor junior estimators as the team grows
- 8+ years heavy civil estimating experience
- Direct FDOT estimating background required
- Strong analytical and plan-reading skills
- Proficiency with Heavy Bid, HCSS, or similar tools
$135K–$155K base + performance incentives, health insurance, 401K, paid holidays, PTO
