Systems Engineer, Operations Manager
Overview
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single‑configuration, heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. It is fully reusable and designed for human use.
As part of a hardworking team of engineers and project managers, you’ll be responsible for second‑stage development testing and recurring integrated test. You’ll engage with the test planning and execution teams to ensure our stage‑level testing supports our verification and validation plans, managing key program metrics including budget, schedule, and resources. You’ll also work closely with design leads and other program managers to generate status reports, resource plans, and other key Technical Program Metrics (TPMs).
Minimum Qualifications- B.S. in Engineering or a technical degree
- 5 or more years of Project Management experience
- 10+ years of experience leading projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective presentation ability
- Strong analytic skills with an acute attention to detail
- Comfortable performing in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- M.B.A.
- 15+ years of demonstrated ability in a Production or Test Environment
- 10+ years of proven experience in test planning and execution
- Direct experience with large aerospace development as a Cost Account Manager or Program Manager
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Lean Manufacturing Certification
- Self‑starter with strong bias for action
- Experience with Primavera (P6), MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
