Overview

Location:

Remote (Florida residents preferred), Hybrid, or On-site at our West Palm Beach, FL office.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Job Type: Full-time.

Job Summary

In your role as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM), you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of surveying projects. You will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence, fostering innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage and execute surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with state statutes and company standards.
  • Survey Execution: Conduct and oversee field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys, utilizing GPS, Total Station, and other advanced equipment.
  • Data Analysis and Mapping: Analyze survey data to prepare detailed maps and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and certify the accuracy of survey documents, ensuring all deliverables meet legal and regulatory requirements.

    Collaborate with field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in surveying laws and regulations to ensure all practices remain compliant.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 472 of the Florida Statutes.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in surveying and mapping, geomatics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Candidates with degrees in other fields must have completed at least 25 semester hours in surveying-related coursework as specified by Florida Statute 472.013.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive surveying experience under the supervision of a licensed PSM, demonstrating responsible charge over surveying tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and other surveying equipment and software.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and Florida surveying laws and regulations.
