What you Will Do:Plan and develop model predictive control and parameter estimation algorithms for military and commercial engine programs. Develop engine, actuation, and fuel system dynamic models and apply these models for development of functional requirements for control law algorithms, fuel system and actuation dynamics. Develop model-based sensor and actuator fault detection, isolation, and accommodation (FDIA) algorithms. Collaborate with internal customers/stakeholders to identify opportunities for control law product and process improvements.
Create and improve process and standards for development, validation, and verification of engine control laws, fuel system control laws, and FDIA algorithms. Provide technical review and oversight of control and parameter estimation algorithm design and analysis. For emerging algorithm issues, lead root cause determination and corrective action throughout entire product life cycle from initial concept phases, through engine testing and in-service operation.
Develop and update control law training materials and provide mentoring and training for team members.
