The OpportunityThis role is ideal for a respected geotechnical professional with strong Florida experience who enjoys balancing technical excellence, client interaction, mentoring, and project delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Florida soils and foundations
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, recommendations, and engineering analyses
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support business development efforts and maintain existing client relationships
- Provide technical oversight on residential, commercial, DOT, and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing programs, and engineering recommendations
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong understanding of Florida geotechnical conditions and design practices
- Proven project management experience
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to mentor and develop junior staff
- Experience working on a mix of commercial, transportation, residential, and infrastructure projects
- $130,000 - $160,000 base salary
- $600+ monthly vehicle allowance
