Position Specific DescriptionAre you looking for an opportunity to join an innovative, challenging and technical side of supply chain in procurement engineering? Here, you will enjoy a fun teamwork environment with opportunity to deal with normal and emergent needs for the Next Era Enterprise with specific focus on our nuclear fleet. This position will focus on specialized testing of nuclear components, here you will use your testing experience to perform testing of quality related material and equipment in accordance with Federal, Nuclear Regulatory, and Corporate policies and procedures.
In this position, use your proficiency or ability to learn automated purchasing, materials and receiving management computer systems (familiarity and ability to use VENTYX Asset Suite/INDUS Passport is desired).
Experience using a tri-axial seismic table and control software (Vibration VIEW and VR9500) in accordance with IEEE 344 will benefit you in this role. Fixture machining and electrical and instrument/controls bench testing experience is also desired.
Job OverviewEmployees in this role make recommendations having considerable impact on engineering, design, environmental, and field operations. This position acts as a technical liaison and provides training for engineering and operational personnel within their areas of expertise. Employees in this job are responsible for one or more programs of such diversity and scope to be of importance to overall company objectives and reliability of the system.
This position has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, engineering, budgeting, specifying, executing and coordinating projects. This position plans and often times executes these projects.
- Provides engineering, design, and environmental support
- Prepares reliability plans, event responses, and asset management
- Leads projects, procedures, and process development
- Performs estimating and budgeting analysis
- Provides operational support of all Next Era Energy Inc. affiliates
- Analyzes project costs and schedules
- Ensures NERC and regulatory compliance
- Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Provides coaching and mentoring to employees
- Reviews equipment, materials specification development, and revisions
- Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
- Ability to work extended hours
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- High School Grad / GED
- Associate's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience:
2+ years
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
- Bachelor's Degree
- Six Sigma Master Black Belt
