Staff Accountant

Description

+ Manage, update, and finalize financial agreements including loans, leases, and new investment documents.

+ Organize, record, and maintain files related to investments, insurance policies, tax matters, and estate planning.

+ Prepare, analyze, and enhance quarterly financial statements and performance reports for the family and its entities.

+ Support family members with bill payments and routine financial administration.

+ Coordinate the execution and tracking of charitable contributions and philanthropic initiatives.

+ Work closely with external tax advisors to support preparation of annual income tax and gift tax returns.

+ Collaborate with estate planning attorneys on gifting strategies and other estate planning initiatives.

+ Assist with daily cash management, liquidity monitoring, and financial forecasting.

+ Maintain and update compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

+ Coordinate with third‑party investment managers to monitor performance, review statements, and track allocations.

+ Oversee financial aspects of real estate purchases, sales, and related documentation.

+ Review prospective investment opportunities to assess suitability and alignment with family objectives.

+ Uphold strict confidentiality and safeguard all sensitive personal and financial information.

+ Provide ad‑hoc reporting, analysis, and support for special projects as needed.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree required;
Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA designation is a plus.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ A collaborative team player who can work effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels and generations within the family.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

+ Strong analytical abilities and sound financial judgment.

+ High level of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness; able to maintain strict confidentiality.

+ Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and efficient, with excellent time‑management skills.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel;
Quick Books experience preferred.
