Position OverviewNew Day USA is seeking an experienced Licensing Manager to oversee all aspects of mortgage licensing and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role is responsible for maintaining company and individual licenses, ensuring compliance with NMLS and SAFE Act requirements, coordinating continuing education programs, managing audits, and serving as a key liaison with regulatory agencies.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in NMLS administration, SAFE Act compliance, regulatory reporting, audit preparation, and licensing oversight within a mortgage lending environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain company and individual mortgage licenses across multiple states.
- Oversee NMLS administration, filings, renewals, and updates.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and SAFE Act licensing requirements.
- Coordinate and track Continuing Education (CE) requirements for licensed personnel.
- Prepare and manage documentation for regulatory examinations and audits.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary compliance updates.
- Maintain licensing records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, and Operations teams to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for state regulatory agencies regarding licensing matters.
- Develop and improve licensing processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage licensing, compliance, or regulatory operations.
- Strong knowledge of NMLS administration and SAFE Act requirements.
- Experience managing state licensing applications, renewals, and reporting.
- Experience coordinating regulatory audits and examinations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage licensing systems.
- Experience in a multi-state mortgage lending environment.
- Mortgage compliance certifications such as CMCP, CRCM, RCMS, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Experience leading licensing or compliance teams.
- Competitive salary: $90,000 – $120,000 annually
