Environmental Specialist II

Environmental Specialist II position with the Florida Department of Health, Palm Beach County Health Department, responsible for conducting inspections, reviewing permit applications, investigating complaints, and enforcing regulations in biomedical and hazardous waste programs. • Bachelor's degree in physical or natural sciences, engineering, or planning; or Master's/Doctorate in related field
• Knowledge of environmental science principles, data collection, analysis, and technical report preparation
• Ability to understand and apply environmental rules, regulations, and Florida Statutes
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the public
• Valid Florida Driver's License and willingness to use personal protective equipment in field inspections
• Ability to use personal computers and environmental health database systems
