Job RequirementsDelivers all aspects of respiratory care to all age groups. Assists in orientation and training of new staff and serves as a resource person. Cross‑trains in other areas and floats to fulfill hospital needs. Participates in department QI studies, in‑services, and meetings. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assesses and maintains airway, assists with intubation, and transports intubated stroke patients.
Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1‑hour online training.

QualificationsGraduate of an AMA‑approved program. Current registered respiratory therapist license in the State of Florida.
Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
Minimum one (1) year experience in neonatal intensive care services and/or completion of the department’s NICU orientation is required.
Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute critical‑care setting is required.
