POSITION SUMMARY
The clinical pharmacist will be a unit-based pharmacist that will verify the orders and provide clinical services for the area(s) for which they are assigned. They will be a drug information resource for the nurses, physicians, patients, and families. The clinical pharmacist will be expected to fulfill staff pharmacist responsibilities as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Education
:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required, Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred. - Experience
:
Pharmacy practice residency or equivalent hospital experience (3 postgraduate years) - License
:
Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida - Certification
: - Pharmacy license; BLS within 30 days of hire (ACLS and/or PALS if code attendance required);
Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or other specialty corresponding with practice area.
