Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Behavior Health Professional at The School District of Palm Beach County, located in West Palm Beach, FL. The Behavior Health Professional will provide support to students by assessing behavioral and emotional needs, developing intervention plans, and working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families. Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based practices, monitoring student progress, supporting crisis intervention, and promoting mental health and positive social-emotional development.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and providing evidence-based support
  • Familiarity with mental health practices, social-emotional learning strategies, and crisis intervention techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required
  • Current and valid licensure in a relevant behavioral health field is preferred
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an educational setting is a plus
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to supporting diverse student populations
