Full‑time position with Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization. Pay range: $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss details with recruiter.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, patient‑focused Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced medical office environment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate physician‑directed orders for medication refills, laboratory tests, and diagnostic services.
- Obtain, verify, and accurately document patient medical histories.
- Collect and submit required patient information for insurance verification and prior authorizations.
- Perform front desk duties, including patient check‑in and check‑out.
- Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinical
Works (eCW). - Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinical documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications with patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and office staff.
- Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk team members.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of medical records.
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards at all times.
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred).
- Familiarity with eClinical
Works (eCW) or similar EMR systems (preferred). - Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures (preferred).
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
- Supportive and collaborative team environment.
