Job Title:Reservationist
Position Overview
We are seeking a polished, detail-oriented Reservationist to join our team at a high-end dining establishment. This role is the first point of contact for many of our guests and plays a critical part in delivering an exceptional hospitality experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and experienced in managing a high volume of reservations and guest requests with efficiency and grace.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all reservations through Open Table, ensuring accuracy and optimal table allocation
- Handle a high volume of incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online platforms
- Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests
- Accommodate special requests, VIP guests, and last-minute changes with discretion and attention to detail
- Maintain up-to-date guest profiles, preferences, and notes in the reservation system
- Communicate effectively with management, hosts, and floor staff to ensure seamless service flow
- Monitor dining room pacing and reservation timing to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Uphold the restaurant’s standards of excellence in all guest interactions
- Previous experience as a reservationist or host in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment
- Proficiency with Open Table (required)
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Keen attention to detail and guest preferences
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Availability needs to be during the day 9-5 or 11-7
- Experience handling VIP clientele and high-profile guests
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate guest needs
- A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences
