HR Generalist

About The Role

The HR Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle for a distributed technology organization, covering onboarding, employee relations, performance processes, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The role partners closely with engineering, product, sales, and operations leaders across a remote workforce.

This role matters because consistent, scalable people operations enable teams to grow without losing clarity or trust. The HR Generalist will maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS, improve workflows across HR systems, and turn employee and workforce data into practical recommendations for leadership.

• Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows across the HRIS, payroll platform, identity-management tools, and IT service desk
• Administer employee records, job changes, leave tracking, benefits enrollment, and compliance documentation with a high level of accuracy
• Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and documented action plans
• Coordinate annual and ongoing performance-review cycles using tools such as Lattice, 15
  
  Five, Culture Amp, or similar platforms
• Maintain and improve HR policies, process documentation, and employee communications for a distributed remote workforce
• Build recurring reports and dashboards from HRIS data covering headcount, turnover, hiring activity, compensation changes, and workforce trends
• Support benefits renewals, audits, payroll coordination, and compliance requirements across applicable federal and state regulations

• 3-6 years of progressive HR generalist or people-operations experience, preferably in a high-growth technology company
• Working knowledge of HRIS, payroll, benefits, applicant-tracking, and performance-management systems; experience with platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, Gusto, Greenhouse, or similar
• Strong understanding of employee relations, onboarding, leave administration, benefits processes, and employment compliance
• Experience supporting remote or distributed teams across multiple U.S. states
• Highly organized with strong judgment, discretion, documentation habits, and follow-through on sensitive matters
• Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, Slack, and HR reporting tools to manage workflows and analyze people data
• Bonus: PHR, SHRM-CP, multi-state HR experience, international workforce exposure, or experience implementing HR systems and automation
