The VP of Technology is responsible for overseeing strategic development. planning, operations, and execution of SROA’s technology initiatives. This role leads all technology teams, drives innovation, ensures system reliability and security, and oversees IT strategy, project management, business analysis, infrastructure, and software engineering to align technology initiatives with overall business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and execute the company’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and manage technology functions, including Engineering, QA, Operations, Cybersecurity, Data, and Support Desk.
- Collaborate with senior management to define and maintain the company’s technical and product vision.
- Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications (front-end and back-end), websites, dashboards, data warehouses, and APIs.
- Establish technology KPIs to track performance, transparency and return on technology investments.
- Proactively identify operational or technical challenges and present solutions before issues become material.
- Manage hardware and software deployment across the organization, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, including risk management, compliance, and security operations.
- Manage IT projects to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Lead, train, and mentor, a team focused on, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation and technology investments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency, enhance tenant experience and service delivery, and strengthen the company’s competitive advantage.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies that improve profitability, scalability, and IT department performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology leadership, including at least 5 years in a senior or executive IT role.

- Strong people leadership and experience developing talent and shaping a positive culture.
- Prior experience in e-commerce or property management preferred.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide IT strategy and technology operations.
- Strong background in software engineering, systems architecture, data management, and IT operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional technology teams and managing complex projects.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and risk management strategies.
- Strong communicator who builds trust at all levels of the company.
