Jr. IT Project Manager

Job Description

• Oversee IT programs that partner closely with the CIO and technology/business leaders to deliver key initiatives aligned with the strategic roadmap.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure projects follow established project management practices and are executed on schedule, within budget, and with strong change‑management discipline.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with program sponsors, stakeholders, and cross‑functional partners.
• Establish clear success measures and ensure value is realized at major project milestones.
• Communicate program expectations effectively and consistently with project managers, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain the IT project portfolio and provide ongoing updates to CIO leadership and business partners.
• Measure and monitor ROI for major initiatives, ensuring project outcomes remain aligned with business objectives.
• Provide structure, governance, and continuity across all IT programs.
• Review and advise on program budgets and financial plans.
• Partner with project managers and business stakeholders to define operational metrics and create dashboards for portfolio reviews and steering committees.
• Promote and share best practices through both informal knowledge‑sharing and formal training sessions.
• Address and escalate critical program issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Assess portfolio complexity and assemble the right project teams to drive successful delivery.
• Oversee all program components across multiple related projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Secure and manage resources needed to meet project objectives within planned timelines.
• Understand and navigate interdependencies across technology, operations, and business functions.
• Apply strong functional knowledge to ensure solutions support business goals and reflect industry best practices.
• Lead or support feasibility assessments, vendor evaluations, and proposal reviews for key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and accountability for the IT PMO team in delivering the project portfolio.
• Strengthen organizational credibility by promoting a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

• PMP Certification required.
• 4‑7 years of project management experience, demonstrating successful delivery of complex initiatives.
• Exceptional project management capabilities, including strong communication skills, the ability to “read the room,” and a positive, steady presence that contributes to a healthy team culture.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (no specific discipline required).
• Proven ability to track, manage, and report on project budgets and spend.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and experience working within Microsoft‑centric environments; intermediate to advanced skill level expected.
