Overview

We are seeking a highly professional, reliable, and technically skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our clients IT team. This fully onsite role involves providing hands-on technical support to end-users within the office and, on occasion, assisting VP-level executives by setting up and maintaining workstations in their homes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet, and comfortable interacting with individuals at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Assist users in connecting to VPNs and resolving connectivity issues.
  • Analyze system performance and troubleshoot problems related to TCP/IP networking.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests using Service Now or Remedy ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and improve overall service delivery.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to user inquiries and providing effective solutions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networking concepts.
  • Experience with SCCM, VPN configurations, and remote desktop support tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills for diagnosing technical issues effectively.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality technical support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Service Now or Remedy is a plus.
