Web Developer, UI/UX Design, IT Support, Technical Support
PATHOS is a full-stack marketing agency based in downtown West Palm Beach, specializing in brand development and growth across physical and digital spaces. We deliver end-to-end media solutions through a comprehensive suite of advisory, creative, web, video, and media services, helping clients from local startups to national organizations amplify their brand with industry-leading talent and technology.
This role is Word Press first, but we're not looking for someone who stops there. The web is evolving fast, and we want someone whose skills extend beyond a single CMS. You'll work directly under our lead developer, splitting your time between maintaining the 30+ websites we manage, handling client-requested updates, and converting Figma designs into fully functional Word Press sites using Elementor (roughly one new build per month, with support and guidance provided).
In a world constantly changing due to AI, the person who thrives here has obsessive attention to detail, notices what's broken before anyone reports it, picks up new tools just to see how they work, and knows exactly when a change is risky enough to flag before touching a live client site.
- Manage hosting, maintenance, backups, and routine updates across our 30+ client websites
- Triage and debug issues across the portfolio: plugin/theme conflicts, performance regressions, hosting and DNS problems, and the occasional compromised site
- Maintain website security, uptime monitoring, and hardening best practices
- Exercise judgment on deployment risk: know when a change warrants a staging environment or a heads-up before touching a live client site, and when it's safe to just ship
- Handle client-requested updates and enhancements to their sites, scoping work realistically and tracking time against retainer/dev-hour budgets
- Manage your own time across competing demands: routine maintenance, incoming client requests, and the active monthly build all run in parallel, and deadlines can't slip because a plugin update ate your afternoon
- Convert Figma design mockups into pixel-accurate, fully functional Word Press sites using Elementor, dropping into custom code where the builder falls short
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals
- Implement technical SEO best practices on new builds and existing sites
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, etc.)
- Improve how we manage sites at scale: propose tooling, automation, and process improvements rather than grinding through manual work
- Communicate directly with clients as you grow into the role: clarifying requests, setting expectations, and explaining technical issues in plain language
- Document processes for internal and external teams
- 3+ years of professional Word Press development experience
- Word Press expert: understands lifecycle hooks, CPTs, and meta boxes, and can develop or customize Word Press themes and plugins
- Solid PHP and MySQL fundamentals, and strong debugging skills: comfortable reading error logs and methodically isolating problems
- Experience building with Elementor without being limited to it
- Working knowledge of hosting environments: cPanel or similar, DNS records, SSL, SFTP/SSH basics
- Strong understanding of SCSS and Tailwind
- Proficient with Git version control
- Able to leverage AI development tools such as Claude Code to multiply your output and help solve problems
- Comfortable building apps in at least one JS framework:
Vue, React, Svelte, etc. - Figma proficiency: able to navigate design files and produce low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes
- Familiar with build tools such as Composer, NPM, and Vite
- Basic to intermediate understanding of at least one CRM:
Hub Spot (preferred), Salesforce, Zoho, etc.
- Laravel / Livewire (TALL stack) and MVC architecture
- Experience managing sites at scale with tools like MainWP or ManageWP
- Experience in an agency or multi-client environment
- Design acumen
- Experience with Woo Commerce
